House/Museum of cars | Milan

House/Museum of cars | Milan

A interesting challenge has led to the creation of this concept for a residence of about 15,000 square meters in the Milanese hinterland: a car museum inside a single family home. The nineteenth-century structure is spread over three independent buildings that make up the monumental complex located within a property of about 10 hectares. The main feature of the residence is the presence of 76 models of Supercars between past and present that take position within the halls of the ground floors of all three buildings. Particular is the solution adopted for the stables building where, to increase the available space, a raised surface has been studied. The synthesis is a place open to the public but at the same time with all the comforts of a luxury residence in which private rooms, hanging gardens and meditation spaces remain far from the passage of visitors.
